Dizziness and Vertigo

Dizziness is a word that describes being lightheaded and vertigo. Lightheaded is a feeling that a person is about to pass out. The client may feel unsteady but there is no sensation of movement. This feeling improves when a client lie down, raise a leg above the heart. Lightheadedness is often caused by a drop in blood pressure and reduced blood flow to the brain when a person immediately get up from lying or sitting position. However if a certain client is taking medications this is maybe a side effect or due to an illness, stress or anxiety.

On the other hand vertigo is a sensation that the world is spinning or moving that even a slight movement like moving head side to side could trigger vertigo. It is usually related to inner ear problems such as Meniere's disease.

When you experience either of this two and it persists better consult your healthcare provider before taking any medication
